SOMATIC ENERGY HEALING

Your body has been
holding something
you couldn’t yet release.

Somatic energy healing works at the intersection of body, nervous system, and energy field — addressing not just the story of what happened, but the physiological and energetic patterns it left behind. This is where real transformation lives.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

Not just energy work.
Not just bodywork.
Both — and more.

In a world of healing modalities — talk therapy, Reiki, acupuncture, craniosacral — somatic energy healing stands apart in one specific way: it works with the body, the nervous system, the energy field, and consciousness simultaneously. Nothing is left out.
It addresses two foundational areas of transformation: resolving the patterns that have quietly been running your life from the background, and resourcing the energetic gifts and capacities that are yours — but may have been suppressed beneath layers of protection.

01
Releasing adaptation patterns

The ways your body learned to protect you from pain, stress, or trauma — held as tension, restricted breathing, and a perceptual “lens” that colours everything. There are seven of these patterns, and all of them are workable.

02
Resourcing your energetic blueprint

You came in with unique gifts — emotional range, empathic perception, life force, relational depth. Somatic energy healing helps amplify what’s strong and support what’s been suppressed by the weight of old patterns.

HOW ADAPTATION PATTERNS WORK

The body’s brilliance —
and its cost.

Every adaptation pattern began as intelligence. When something overwhelming happened — trauma, loss, betrayal, injury — your system found a way to protect you. That protection was a gift. But over time, those same patterns become anchored in the body and begin to quietly shape everything: how you breathe, how you move, how you relate, how you perceive the world around you.
These aren’t character flaws. They aren’t weakness. They are physiological and energetic responses to experiences that were never fully resolved — and they can be worked with, gently and precisely, at the root.

01
Energetic disruption

The natural flow of energy through the body becomes blocked or distorted — through the meridians, the energy field, the subtle body — contracting around the original experience.

02
Physical tension

That disruption anchors into the spine, fascia, muscles, and nervous system. Posture shifts. Breath becomes shallow. The body reorganises itself around protection.

03
Perceptual distortion

Consciousness filters through the lens of the original wound. You may be physically in the present — but your nervous system is still referencing something from years, even decades, ago.

“It’s like wearing a pair of tinted glasses you don’t know you have on. Everything you see is filtered through an experience that was never fully resolved.”

Dr. John Amaral

When these patterns release — when the energy bound up in survival becomes available again — people describe it not as getting better, but as becoming more themselves. More present. More alive. More free

THE SEVEN PATTERNS

Where we get stuck — and where we can go

There are seven core adaptation patterns that show up consistently across all human beings — regardless of age, culture, or background. Each has a characteristic way of living in the body, and a resolved state that becomes available through this work. Tap any to explore

Still carrying something you can’t let go of. Some experiences don’t just pass — they stay present in the body long after the event is over. Grief, trauma, a loss that never fully resolved. This pattern keeps us filtering the present through the lens of something that happened in the past, making it hard to feel truly free or new. When it resolves, those same experiences become a source of depth, compassion, and wisdom rather than weight.
Always bracing for what might go wrong. A persistent low hum of anxiety about the future — what might happen, what might be lost, how it’s all going to work out. Life feels like something to survive rather than inhabit. This pattern makes it hard to be present, to rest, or to trust. When it resolves, there’s a felt sense of being able to meet life as it comes — even the uncertain parts.
Waiting for the other shoe to drop. When trust has been broken — unexpectedly, by someone who should have been safe — the body learns to stay guarded. Always vigilant, always prepared for betrayal, even in situations and relationships where it’s not warranted. When this pattern resolves, it becomes possible to be genuinely open: to surrender, to truth, to real vulnerability with others.
Living the life you think you should. Performing a version of yourself shaped by what’s expected — by family, culture, circumstance. There’s often a sense of disconnection, of going through the motions, of a deeper self that hasn’t had room to breathe. When this pattern resolves, something more genuine becomes available — a way of living that comes from the inside rather than from external expectation.
Overthinking everything, feeling nothing. The mind becomes the primary tool for managing life — analysing, planning, controlling — while emotion gets suppressed or numbed. This often develops as a way of coping when feelings felt unsafe or overwhelming. When this pattern resolves, the emotional body can begin to move and express freely again, restoring a sense of aliveness and range.
Feeling powerless in your own life. A deep sense that things happen to you rather than through you — that your needs don’t matter, that you’re somehow not enough, or that taking up space isn’t safe. When this pattern resolves, there’s a genuine experience of worth, capacity, and abundance — not as a concept, but as something felt in the body.
Feeling like you have no real choice. A sense of being trapped — in relationships, circumstances, patterns of behaviour — where real agency feels absent or dangerous. When this pattern resolves, the experience of genuine choice returns: not just intellectually, but as a felt, embodied freedom to move differently in life.
THE SECOND PILLAR

Resourcing what’s already in you.

Beyond releasing what holds us back, somatic energy healing also works to resource what’s already present — the unique energetic gifts, capacities, and intelligence you came into this life with.

We each have an energetic blueprint. Some people carry deep empathic gifts. Others have extraordinary mental focus, physical vitality, or a natural capacity to move energy. What often happens is that these gifts get suppressed under the weight of adaptation patterns — the energy that could fuel aliveness gets bound up in protection instead.

As the patterns unwind, something shifts beyond healing. People move from managing symptoms to expressing potential. From surviving to participating fully — in relationships, in their work, in life itself.

WHAT BECOMES POSSIBLE

The changes people actually notice.

More energy and resilience

When energy bound up in old patterns is freed, it becomes available for life. Many notice deeper sleep, less fatigue, and a sense of lightness they hadn’t felt in years.

Clearer perception and intuition

As the perceptual lens of old patterns dissolves, there’s often a noticeable shift in clarity — less mental fog, sharper intuition, a broader perspective on what’s possible.

Deeper connection with others

Moving from protection to presence changes how we show up in relationships. People often describe feeling more genuine, more empathic, more able to truly be with others.

Relief from chronic physical tension

The body holds what the mind can’t process. As adaptation patterns release, long-held physical tension often softens and reorganises toward ease.

A renewed sense of purpose

When we’re no longer spending so much energy maintaining old defences, something opens. Clients often describe a sense of aliveness, direction, and meaning returning.

Feeling more like yourself

The most common thing people say after sessions isn’t “I feel better” — it’s “I feel more like me.” That’s the work: not fixing, but restoring wholeness.

I’m currently in practitioner training and offering sessions at a reduced rate. This is an opportunity for both of us — you receive genuinely transformative work, and I develop my skills in a live, relational context.

for Clients

You’ve done the work. Something still isn’t shifting.

You may have insight into your patterns but still feel them in your body. Or you’re drawn to working with energy and consciousness at a deeper level than conventional approaches allow.

FOR PRACTICE PARTNERS

You’re a wellness professional wanting to experience this firsthand.

Massage therapists, coaches, yoga teachers, somatic practitioners — anyone curious about how somatic energy healing differs from and complements their existing modality.

for clients

You’re carrying something that still feels present.

Old grief, a loss of trust, chronic tension with no clear cause. Somatic energy healing works with the energetic and physiological residue of experiences — not just the story of them.for clients

FOR PRACTICE PARTNERS

You’re studying somatic energy healing yourself.
